Lanier Collection Agency & Services. Maximum debt recovery using personal attention and impeccable ethics.
Here's why treating your delinquent consumers with dignity and respect is smart business.

Most people are honest and don't use services or borrow money with the intention of not repaying the debt. If you're in charge of accounts receivable, you probably recognize three types of people with delinquent accounts:

  • The conscientious ones who usually pay, but for some reason haven't this time and are still in the first 90 days of the billing cycle. Some may have called or written to say that they want to pay but are having financial hardships right now and aren't able to pay in full or at all.

  • Consumers who experience an unexpected circumstance like a heart attack, childbirth or unemployment and are having difficulty getting their finances back on track.

  • Those who have no intention of paying and have not responded at all (to phone call, letter, fax or email) to any of your statements and are seemingly unwilling to pay their debts.

To recover the maximum amount of receivables, we strive to create a non-adversarial relationship with each type of delinquent customer. From more than 50 years of experience we've learned that the better we treat delinquent consumers, the more willing they are to work with us. When a consumer has a willing attitude, it is more likely that we can collect a much higher percentage of the money owed to you.

If you've ever owed money, you know how heavily it weighs on you. If the unpaid debt goes on long enough, you can become so guilt-ridden that you'll do everything to ignore the person who was kind enough to lend you the money or provide you a service.

Because we understand this, we make it as comfortable as possible for the consumer to communicate with us, and give them a way out of their guilt with a variety of workable repayment plans.

How We Create A Repayment Plan

We uncover the debtor's financial condition and listen to them to better understand their situation and offer repayment options.

We work with the consumer to help them repay their debts, which is far more likely to yield a higher percentage of the amount owed then we would by browbeating them. We've even had consumers request that their other delinquent accounts be transferred to LCA because of their positive experience with us in the past.
